Getting Started

Installation

• macOS: Download the .dmg, drag to Applications, launch. Grant Accessibility permission when prompted (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility).
• Windows: Download the .msi installer, run it, launch from Start Menu.

Connecting Computers

MouseWizard automatically discovers other instances on your local network. Just launch it on two or more computers connected to the same WiFi or Ethernet network.

If auto-discovery doesn't work (common on enterprise networks with mDNS blocked), you can enter the IP address manually in Settings.

Monitor Layout

Open Settings and go to the Layout tab. Drag the monitor rectangles to match your physical desk arrangement. The edges where monitors touch become transition points for the cursor.

Clipboard Sync

Enabled by default. Copy on one machine, switch to another, paste. Supports text, HTML, and images up to 10 MB.

Security

All connections use TLS 1.3 encryption. On first connection, you'll see the remote machine's fingerprint. Optionally set a password in Settings for additional authentication.

Troubleshooting

• Computers not discovering each other: Ensure both are on the same network. Check firewall settings for port 24816 (TCP) and mDNS (UDP 5353).
• macOS: input not captured: Verify Accessibility permission is granted for MouseWizard in System Settings.
• High latency: Use a wired Ethernet connection instead of WiFi for the best experience.
